The medical curriculum covers a diversity of content, encompassing biological and social sciences, clinical medicine, law, ethics, research and critical analysis, and personal and professional development. The Doctor of Medicine (MD) program is delivered primarily on campuses located in Wollongong, Shoalhaven and Southern Highlands, as well as in numerous rural sites throughout NSW.

About the role:

You will have the opportunity to contribute to educational research related to the MD program, or other research projects that align with the mission of the Graduate School of Medicine. Additionally, you will collaborate with the University and local partners to develop and expand the clinical and community-based learning opportunities for MD students in the Southern Highlands.

About you:

To be successful you will be a qualified medical graduate with eligibility for unconditional registration as a medical practitioner within NSW including vocational qualifications and/or Fellowship and recent professional experience in the Southern Highlands region. You will have experience in clinical practice in rural or regional settings as well as a strong understanding of the Australian Accreditation Standards for Accreditation of Primary Medical Programs and expectations for contemporary clinical practice and primary medical education. In addition, you will have demonstrated leadership and experience in medical education, with a commitment to fostering the development of medical students to ensure they become culturally competent and clinically skilled graduates. Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and proficiency in using educational technologies, with a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies is essential.
