About the Role

The Lecturer and Senior Lecturer (Teaching Specialist) will contribute to excellence in teaching and learning across the topics in the College of Nursing and Health Sciences. The roles will be responsible for making an independent contribution to teaching and the scholarship of teaching using innovations in practices and technologies to deliver excellence in teaching. The Senior Lecturer will also have a key leadership role in service to the College and/or University.

The Lecturer and Senior Lecturer (Teaching and Research) will contribute to quality research and/or evaluation, as well as contribute to the planning and delivery of topics within the Health Sciences suite of undergraduate and/or postgraduate courses. This includes development of teaching materials, delivery of lectures/tutorials or other innovative teaching and learning strategies, examinations and placement education. The Senior Lecturer (Teaching and Research) will be a key member of the academic staff of Health Sciences in the College and will contribute to administration and leadership.

About You

To be successful in the role as either Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in (Health Sciences) you will possess the following:

Lecturer Teaching Specialist (Academic) & Teaching and Research (Academic)

• Hold and maintain a current membership with a relevant professional association.
• Evidence of excellence in teaching performance at a tertiary level in digital health.
• Making an independent contribution to the development, delivery and evaluation of innovative teaching and learning strategies, including student assessment.
• Evidence of reflective practice.
• Demonstrated understanding of the nexus between teaching and learning, research, scholarship and practice.

The ideal candidate will have completed a PhD or EdD or equivalent qualification in a digital health related field.

In addition to this, the Lecturer Teaching and Research (Academic) will have demonstrated experience and evidence in qualitative and quantitative research methodologies. They will have a strong research track record (for career stage) in one or more of the following areas of strategic research focus for the Caring Futures Institute, including evidence of sustained high-quality publications with senior authorship contribution and attraction of external competitive grants.

You will also have completed a PhD or EdD or equivalent qualification in a digital health related field or any one of the following as outlined in the attached position description.

Senior Lecturer Teaching Specialist & Teaching and Research (Academic)

• Hold and maintain a current membership with a relevant professional association.
• An understanding of pedagogical theory and contemporary educational practice relevant to a health-related discipline.
• Significant and sustained excellence in teaching performance at a tertiary level.
• Significant and sustained development, delivery and evaluation of innovative teaching and learning strategies.
• Demonstrated ability and commitment to reflective improvement in teaching delivery.

The ideal candidate will have completed a PhD or EdD or equivalent qualification in a digital health related field.

In addition to this, the Senior Lecturer Teaching and Research (Academic) will have demonstrated experience and successful track record in supervision of higher degree students and other post-graduate course work students undertaking research projects. You will also provide evidence of a strong research track record (for career stage) in one or more of the following areas of strategic research focus for the Caring Futures Institute, including evidence of sustained high-quality publications with senior authorship contribution and attraction of external competitive grants.

You will also have completed a PhD or EdD or equivalent qualification in a health-related field relevant to Health Sciences or any of the following as outlined in the attached position description.
