The Verandah Bar and Dining on the first floor provides an unparalleled indoor/outdoor entertainment space along with premium dining. On the ground floor, Café One 2 Nine and the Garden Bar offer a more classic pub experience for our guests.
We are seeking an industry professional with a passion for food and a hands-on, ‘can-do’ attitude to deliver a superior customer experience. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone eager to lead and inspire teams while overseeing two kitchens to ensure seamless operations.
The Role:
- Oversee the day-to-day operation of both kitchens in the absence of the Executive Chef, ensuring consistent quality and service standards are maintained.
- Contribute creatively to menu design, staying ahead of modern food trends and customer expectations.
- Lead and inspire a reliable kitchen team capable of servicing high-volume and diverse service periods, ensuring excellence and consistency.
- Assist with managing food and labour costs, developing strategies to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic kitchen environment at all times.
- Work closely with the front-of-house team to ensure smooth and efficient service delivery.
The Successful Candidate:
You will have:
- Proven experience in a similar role within a team-focused environment.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate the team.
- Experience across a diverse range of cuisines.
- In-depth knowledge of workplace health and safety procedures.
