MARS are partnering with a prestigious educational institution dedicated to academic excellence, who are looking to hire a Payroll Officer to join them on a 6M FTC. The Payroll Officer will assist with delivering comprehensive payroll insights, interpreting policies, processing payroll, and ensuring legislative compliance to provide high-quality, consistent, and efficient payroll support.

The Responsibilities:

• Prepare, review, and finalise fortnightly payroll for EFT approval, ensuring compliance with PAYG, STP, and other tax remittances to the ATO.
• Accurately process and input payroll data, including timesheets, leave entitlements, allowances, and deductions, into the accounting system.
• Perform ad-hoc payroll calculations as needed, such as termination payments, redundancy, long service leave, parental leave, and leave loading.
• Manage and respond to payroll-related inquiries via the designated email inbox.
• Administer salary sacrifice arrangements in collaboration with the organisation's salary packaging provider.

The Requirements:

• You must hold a current Work with Children Check.
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
• Proficient with MS Excel and large ERP systems.
• Experience in a hands-on role with high levels of attention to detail.

To Note:

• They operate a flexible work from home of 2 days from home per week.
• Lunch provided every day during term time.
• Public transport located close by.
• Full time, 8am-4pm.
• Start as soon as possible.
