Our client is a well-established provider of services to heavy vehicle and broader transport sector, with an offering that includes a range of insurance solutions, roadside and accident assistance and a software platform that helps organisations manage their chain of responsibility obligations. Working as part of a small, specialised team that is part of the larger organisation, this newly created role will help drive sales for the company’s SaaS platform that helps organisations manage their Chain of Responsibility compliance that forms part of National Heavy Vehicle Law.
The Role
Reporting to the Senior Business Development Manager, the Business Development Representative will play a key role in identifying and qualifying leads and contributing to the company’s growth in Australia.
More specifically, you will be involved in the following:
- Proactively identifying and connecting with potential clients and outlining the company’s solutions and value proposition;
- Responding to inbound phone, website and email enquiries in a timely manner;
- Developing a strong understanding of Chain of Responsibility regulations in order to explain an organisations obligation;
- Consulting with current and potential clients to understand their current processes and identify potential areas of risk;
- Booking formal product demonstrations for the Senior Business Development Manager;
- Maintaining customer relationships and accurate customer information; and
- Assisting in the achievement of sales budgets.
Required Experience
- Prior experience in a similar, phone-based B to B sales or outbound business development role;
- A professional, yet down to earth approach with strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills;
- Highly motivated with a keen desire to learn and develop your career;
- Proven ability to work in a team environment or individually;
- Reliable and customer focused; and
- Well-developed computer skills (MS applications).
