Your future is Energy Queensland:
Energy Queensland, and our operational brands: Energex, Ergon Energy Network, Ergon Retail and Yurika, are at the frontline of progress in the energy industry. As Australia’s largest government-owned electricity organisation, we serve people and communities across the state and beyond. Here, you’ll help us deliver reliable energy solutions for our two million customers.
Join us as our next Senior Analyst Programmer with the Yurika Platform and amplify your impact. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity based at our Newstead Office in Brisbane.
Your opportunity:
As a Senior Analyst Programmer, you lead and contribute to the development of solutions that support and enhance our Yurika platform, a critical part of EQL's digital infrastructure.
You’re responsible for creating new features and improving our systems, working across both front-end and back-end systems to ensure the platform keeps pace with evolving business needs and industry trends. The platform tech stack we work with comprises of D365, Azure, SQL Server databases, and data streaming services. Each day brings opportunities to collaborate with your team to deliver projects, implement enhancements, and provide support.
Your role is a blend of collaboration and hands-on technical tasks. You regularly partner with project managers and business analysts and solution architects to understand requirements, actively coding, testing, and deploying solutions. Alongside major projects, you also make smaller updates or improvements to ensure systems, whether in production or testing, continue running smoothly without disruption. Beyond development, working closely with the Platform Lead, you also mentor junior developers and help foster a collaborative, high-performing team.
With the platform’s rapid pace and evolving landscape, every project and enhancement offers a meaningful opportunity to improve systems and make a real impact on the Yurika platform, supporting EQL’s commitment to delivering cutting-edge digital solutions for a sustainable energy future.
Your remuneration starts from $158k per annum + 14.75% super for a 9-day fortnight, and from $179k per annum + 14.75% super for a 10-day fortnight.
What’s on offer?
At Energy Queensland, we believe in supporting every aspect of your career and personal life. Here’s what you can expect:
- Flexibility that works: Flexible working arrangements, including up to 50% work-from-home options for applicable roles.
- Leave for real life: Access to additional health and wellbeing, culture and diversity leave options.
- Grow as you go: Opportunities to develop professionally through training, leadership programs and full access to LinkedIn Learning.
What you’ll bring:
You're an experienced full-stack .NET developer with a strong background in cloud technologies, particularly Microsoft Azure and the Power Platform. You have solid expertise in programming, configuration, and system integration across these platforms. Exposure to data streaming services for use with large IoT networks is also ideal.
While hands-on experience is what matters most, formal certifications in Microsoft Azure would be a bonus. Your proficiency with SQL Server and Microsoft DevOps is essential, enabling you to design, develop, and deploy solutions independently.
Experience of working in an agile environment is ideal, and you have a proven track record of collaborating effectively across teams, aligning technical solutions with business needs and fostering smooth communication throughout development lifecycles.
You excel at leading and mentoring junior team members, providing technical guidance, troubleshooting issues, and supporting their development. Your clear and supportive communication ensures they succeed and grow in their roles.
Your flexibility and adaptability is key in navigating shifting priorities and tackling new challenges. You excel at troubleshooting complex technical issues, at times under pressure, ensuring smooth operations with minimal disruption.
What matters most? For us, it’s our values: We’re Safe – We Belong – We Grow – We Deliver. If you’re going to be a part of our team, these should matter to you, too.
