ESP Support Services is a leading provider of high-quality disability services, dedicated to supporting individuals with disabilities to live fulfilling independent lives. We are searching for the right person to join our vibrant happy team who can give attention to detail and who exhibits great teamwork. The Roster Officer role is 21 hours per week permanent part-time Mon/Wed/Fri, 8.30am starts with potential to build upon these hours including being part of an on-call roster. Wage is dependent upon experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain accurate and efficient staff rosters to ensure the appropriate staffing levels for all shifts.
- Work closely with team leaders, managers, and staff to ensure scheduling is aligned with the needs of clients and the availability of qualified staff.
- Monitor attendance, track leave requests, and update rosters accordingly.
- Resolve any staffing issues or conflicts promptly, ensuring minimal disruption to service delivery.
- Ensure compliance with relevant policies, procedures, and regulations in relation to staff hours, pay, and working conditions.
- Provide administrative support to the management team, including reporting on staffing trends and attendance.
- Respond to staffing requests, changes, and cancellations in a timely and professional manner.
- Ensure a high level of customer service when liaising with staff, clients, and external partners.
Skills & Experience:
- Minimum two years previous experience in workforce scheduling or roster management, preferably within the disability, healthcare or community services sector.
- Knowledge of relevant industrial awards, legislation and standards (e.g. Fair Work Act, SCHADS Award, NDIS Quality and Safeguards).
- Demonstrated strong organisational and time-management skills with the ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with various teams.
- A high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to problem-solve and make decisions quickly and effectively.
- A high level of flexibility, adaptability, and resilience in a dynamic environment.
- Experience with roster management software or similar systems is an advantage.
