Aboriginal Disability Liaison Officer (ADLO)- Part Time Position
- $64,000 per year (pro rata for part time)

Albury Wodonga Aboriginal Health Service is the dominant health and community services provider in North East Victoria and southern Riverina, serving the community with a wide range of services.
We are looking for someone who can build strong, supportive relationships with people and families facing complex challenges. In this role, you will help connect individuals to NDIS services, guide them through the access process, and assist in gathering the necessary assessments and paperwork to support their applications.
The role requires a collaborative approach with community groups and to facilitate culturally sensitive outreach to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, fostering trust and breaking down the barriers to NDIS access.
You will have:
- Experience in working with people with a disability and their families
- Demonstrated skills in establishing empowering and supportive partnerships with participants and their families with complex needs.
- A sound understanding of relevant legislation, NDIS procedural guidelines, and the full range of community services that may be required by participants.
- Experience in navigating the NDIS to support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander participants and their representatives to understand the processes required to set goals, to understand their Plans, ensure the Plan is appropriate and link positively with PITC and/or NOIA and the Support Worker
- Effective communication skills, and proven interpersonal success working with the local Aboriginal community and relevant stakeholders.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the current health issues relevant to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
- A current driver's license (essential for this role)
