About the Role:

As a Disability Support Worker, you will:
- Provide specialised support to clients with high behavioural needs
- Assist with daily living activities, community access, and skill-building
- Implement individual behaviour support plans with patience and care
- Foster independence and confidence in our clients

What We’re Looking For:

🔹 Experience in supporting clients with high behaviours of concern
🔹 Strong understanding of positive behaviour support strategies
🔹 Resilience, patience, and excellent communication skills
🔹 Relevant Cert III/IV in Disability, Community Services, or equivalent
🔹 Current First Aid, NDIS Worker Screening Check, and Working with Children Check

What you'll be doing

• Assisting clients with their daily living activities, such as personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks
• Facilitating social and recreational activities to promote clients' well-being and community engagement
• Implementing individualised support plans to help clients achieve their personal objectives
• Advocating for clients' rights and ensuring their safety and comfort at all times
• Maintaining detailed client records and communicating effectively with the multidisciplinary team
• Actively participating in training and professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge

What we're looking for

• Relevant qualifications in disability support, aged care, or a related field (e.g., Certificate III or IV in Individual Support)
• Previous experience working with people with disabilities, preferably in a community-based or in-home setting
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and empathise with clients
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills to address the unique needs of each client
• Demonstrated commitment to promoting independence, dignity, and choice for people with disabilities
• A compassionate, patient, and flexible approach to supporting diverse client needs
• A current driver's licence and access to reliable transportation
