About the Role:
As a Disability Support Worker, you will:
- Provide specialised support to clients with high behavioural needs
- Assist with daily living activities, community access, and skill-building
- Implement individual behaviour support plans with patience and care
- Foster independence and confidence in our clients
What Weβre Looking For:
πΉ Experience in supporting clients with high behaviours of concern
πΉ Strong understanding of positive behaviour support strategies
πΉ Resilience, patience, and excellent communication skills
πΉ Relevant Cert III/IV in Disability, Community Services, or equivalent
πΉ Current First Aid, NDIS Worker Screening Check, and Working with Children Check

What you'll be doing
- Assisting clients with their daily living activities, such as personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks
- Facilitating social and recreational activities to promote clients' well-being and community engagement
- Implementing individualised support plans to help clients achieve their personal objectives
- Advocating for clients' rights and ensuring their safety and comfort at all times
- Maintaining detailed client records and communicating effectively with the multidisciplinary team
- Actively participating in training and professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge
What we're looking for
- Relevant qualifications in disability support, aged care, or a related field (e.g., Certificate III or IV in Individual Support)
- Previous experience working with people with disabilities, preferably in a community-based or in-home setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and empathise with clients
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills to address the unique needs of each client
- Demonstrated commitment to promoting independence, dignity, and choice for people with disabilities
- A compassionate, patient, and flexible approach to supporting diverse client needs
- A current driver's licence and access to reliable transportation
