About the role

Join the team at Work Options as a Vocational Rehabilitation Consultant based out of our North Sydney office (hybrid work available). This full-time or part-time role will see you providing high-quality care and rehabilitation services to our clients. You will play a crucial part in supporting our clients through their recovery and return to work.

What you'll be doing

You will work with clients with physical, primary or secondary psychological injury or illness to assist them recover at or return to work and life activities. Duties include:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments, including vocational assessment, psychosocial, mental health and psychological screens, employability and labour market analysis
  • Develop individualised rehabilitation plans and interventions to support clients' physical and psychological wellbeing and return to meaningful work
  • Liaise with medical professionals, employers and other stakeholders to coordinate client care & support
  • Maintain detailed client records and documentation in accordance with company policies
  • Comprehensive report writing
  • Provide mentoring, training and support for less experienced Consultants
  • Candidates with full Psychology registration also have the opportunity to provide employee counselling, mental health training and consultancy services

What we're looking for

  • Provisional or Registered Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia
  • Rehabilitation Counsellor with Australian Society of Rehabilitation Counsellors
  • Accredited Social Worker with the Australian Association of Social Workers
  • Relevant, current and verifiable allied health qualifications which meet full registration with any of the following:
  • At least 1 years experience in a clinical or rehabilitation setting
  • Strong assessment, case management and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to build rapport with clients
  • Knowledge of workplace health and safety, return-to-work programs and relevant legislation (desirable)
  • Flexible and adaptable approach to working in a dynamic, client-facing environment
  • Full and current NSW Driver's Licence
  • Current and satisfactory Police Check
