About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and driven Maintenance Manager to lead a dynamic team based at a food manufacturing facility local to Moorebank. This is a people-focused leadership role, managing a team of 11 reports, ensuring the efficient operation of plant equipment, facilities, and maintenance processes. The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator, with a passion for mentoring and developing their team while driving operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 11 maintenance technicians and tradespeople.
• Plan and coordinate daily maintenance activities to ensure equipment reliability and operational efficiency.
• Foster a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
• Manage preventative and corrective maintenance schedules.
• Work closely with production, operations, and health & safety teams to minimise downtime and optimise performance.
• Drive performance through KPIs and ensure timely completion of maintenance tasks.
• Manage contractor relationships and oversee external maintenance projects.
• Develop and implement maintenance strategies to improve plant performance.
• Report on maintenance performance and provide recommendations to senior management.

Skills & Experience Required:

• Proven experience in a Maintenance Manager or similar leadership role.
• Strong people management skills with a track record of developing and motivating teams.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships across departments.
• Hands-on technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and/or automation systems.
• Experience working in a manufacturing, logistics, or industrial environment.
• Strong understanding of preventative maintenance systems and processes.
• Ability to manage budgets and maintenance schedules effectively.
• Commitment to health, safety, and quality standards.
