About the role:

The Trauma Informed Care Coordinator will provide leadership and assistance through administration, planning and delivery of trauma informed care to support families, strengthen relationships, improve wellbeing of children and young people, and increase participation of people in community life to enhance family and community functioning.

To be successful in this role, you will possess the following:

  • Social work qualification or similar with a strong understanding of Trauma Informed practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well within a multidisciplinary team as well as independently.
  • Ability to manage own workload and maintain continuity of care for clients.
  • Proved and well-developed group facilitation skills.
  • Knowledge of and commitment to applying a community development approach.
  • Understanding of the principles of confidentiality, and the rights and responsibilities of consumers/clients within a community health care context in accordance with applicable NT and Federal privacy legislation.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills, including high level written and oral communication, mediation and negotiation skills.
  • Hold a current and valid NT C Class manual drivers licence and have the ability to travel in light aircraft and 4WD vehicle to remote communities.

It would be desirable if you also possessed:

  • Experience using client health information systems.
  • Previous experience working or living within an Indigenous setting and remote communities.
  • Demonstrated awareness of issues affecting Indigenous people to ensure effective participation in a cross-cultural environment.

All employment with EARC is subject to the successful completion of a Criminal History Check and the ability to obtain a Working with Children Clearance. Criminal history will not exclude an applicant unless it is relevant to the position.

The preferred applicant must be prepared to travel and work for short periods in remote communities by various means including boat and light aircraft.

What you'll get in return:

  • Full Time Permanent employment.
  • Level 7 - Salary $99,086 - $105,120 (excluding superannuation contributions and locality allowance) with annual wage increase opportunities built into our EBA.
  • You will also benefit from 6 weeks of Annual Leave, with 17.5% leave loading.

Housing is not available with this position. Access to housing in the Nhulunbuy region is a must for the successful candidate. Relocation Assistance will be offered.
