Architect Draftsperson/ Production Officer

About the role
The Architect Draftsperson/Production Coordinator is instrumental in translating monumental conceptual designs into accurate and precise technical drawings using 3D AutoCAD software. You may also create detailed 3D models and coordinate with senior architects/designers to ensure design integrity and produce comprehensive manufacturing documents. You will be supporting the Design & Production Manager in Production Coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce precise technical drawings using AutoCAD software, ensuring accuracy and adherence to design specifications.
- Collaborate with senior architect, designers, and other members of the team to ensure seamless communication in the drafting process.
- Create and prepare proofs containing detailed information for client approvals and production purposes.
- Conduct site visits to match, assess repair and renovation works and produce supporting drawings
- Production support managing accessories, warehouse stock & ordering.
- Administrative tasks associated with permit applications.
- Quality control and pre-install checks.
- Complete all tasks within specified deadlines, contributing to the overall project timeline and ensuring timely project delivery.
Key Experience
- Degree or Diploma in Architectural Drafting, Building Design, Architecture, or related field.
- Proven experience working as an architectural drafter or a similar role.
- Proven experience with direct customer contact.
- Proficient in 3D AutoCAD, and other 3D modelling software.
- Strong understanding of design and construction methodologies - stone knowledge is advantageous.
- Excellent technical drawing and drafting skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in complex drawings and administrative tasks.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills to interact with architects, designers, installers and clients.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to multi-task, manage multiple projects and meet deadlines - experience in project management advantageous
