Mars are partnering with a well-known services business that is looking for an interim financial accountant.

The Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain financial statements in compliance with AASB requirements.
• Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations and financial reporting.
• Assist with external audits by preparing audit schedules and liaising with auditors.
• Review general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable transactions.
• Develop and implement financial controls to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Assist with the preparation of cash flow forecasts, budgets, and variance analysis.
• Stay up to date on AASB changes and ensure financial policies align with the latest standards.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to optimise financial processes and reporting.

The Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• CPA / CA qualified (or working towards it)
• Ideally 1-3 years of commercial experience working as a financial accountant.
• Intermediate Excel skills and proficient working with ERP accounting software.
• High attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently.
• Immediate or available at short notice.
