In the role of Director (State Network Programs) you will support the Executive Director (PDP) in enabling the development and delivery of the department's
infrastructure program.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
• Providing effective leadership of the State Network Programs unit, promoting a customer service culture that supports excellence in program governance, aligned to the Managing Successful Programs (MSP) framework.
• Fostering a positive culture in the State Network Programs team that values collaboration, innovation, staff development and proactively identifying and implementing business improvements.
• Leading engagement with key stakeholders, including the Australian Government and TMR delivery areas, building trusted relationships at all organisational levels to resolve funding and program issues and enable successful program delivery.
• Providing technical advice and expertise to ensure the accurate and timely development of the annual QTRIP is in accordance with guidelines, business rules
and governance principles.
• Operational management on a number of investment programs in QTRIP, primarily focused on state transport networks. This includes reviewing and evolving
internal TMR program guidelines, business rules and governance principles to ensure robust program governance and successful delivery.
• Representing TMR in engagement with the Australian Government and relevant stakeholders to federal funding programs under the Federation Funding Agreement
To thrive in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following:
• Knowledge of and experience using complex program development and performance management principles.
• Demonstrated experience developing positive working relationships with stakeholders to ensure risks are managed and programs are delivered.
• Proven track record of effectively leading technical and program teams to drive continuous improvement in performance, including identifying areas for enhancement, implementing best practices, and ensuring consistent alignment with program goals and timelines.
• Tertiary qualifications in Business Management, Management Accounting and/or Engineering would be highly regarded.
