The Role

As a Data Governance Manager you will

• Design and implement data governance policies, standards, and frameworks based on industry best practices (e.g., DAMA DMBOK).
• Lead initiatives to improve data quality through profiling, cleansing, and validation techniques.
• Conduct data risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to protect our assets.
• Manage data access and security, ensuring compliance with evolving regulations.
• Collaborate with business leaders and stakeholders to foster a data-driven culture.
• Oversee and deliver key data governance projects on time and within scope.
• Stay ahead of emerging trends and technologies to continuously refine governance practices.

The Ideal Person will have

• 4+ years of experience in data governance, data management, or related fields.
• Strong knowledge of frameworks like DAMA DMBOK and methodologies for data governance.
• Hands-on experience with data quality tools and techniques.
• A solid understanding of data security and privacy regulations.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
• Analytical thinking and a problem-solving mindset.

Bonus Points For:

• Experience in financial services, especially with Trade Surveillance.
• Familiarity with tools like Collibra or Erwin.
