Some DevOps gigs are just about keeping the lights on. Not this one.
This is a serious role for a serious DevOps professional. A leading federal government agency is ramping up a significant fraud project, and they need elite engineers to design, build, and deploy cloud and data infrastructure that keeps the system bulletproof. If you know AWS inside out, have Terraform in your DNA, and can write solid code across Python, JavaScript, or Golang, this is your battlefield.
The role in a snapshot:

• High-impact work – this isn’t a “push a few buttons” gig; you’ll be designing and securing critical national infrastructure.
• Autonomy – you’ll be trusted to solve complex problems and make big decisions.
• Multiple locations – Brisbane, Geelong, Richmond, Deakin, Surry Hills.

You’ll Be Doing;

• Architecting, deploying, and maintaining AWS cloud infrastructure for national-scale projects.
• Building CI/CD pipelines with GitLab, Artifactory, and Jira.
• Writing Infrastructure as Code with Terraform.
• Developing automation and tooling across multiple languages like Python, JavaScript, and Golang.
• Containerising and orchestrating deployments using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Working in agile, high-performance teams to deliver robust solutions.

We need you to have:

• Deep hands-on AWS experience – you should know it better than your morning coffee order.
• Proven DevOps chops – CI/CD, automation, version control (Git), and Infrastructure as Code.
• Solid coding ability – Python, JavaScript, Golang.
• Strong problem-solving and stakeholder management skills – because this isn’t just about writing scripts, it’s about making things work in the real world.
• Australian Citizenship – non-negotiable. Soz.

Bonus Points If You Have

• Experience with Azure or Cloudflare.
• Database deployment and administration skills (Postgres, MySQL).
• Security-focused expertise with HashiCorp Vault and PKI.
