The Role
The Director of Collaborative Partnerships plays an important role in working with the CEO, COO and is an integral part of the leadership team at The Centre for Women & Co. The role is to achieve the organisational vision/mission and to promote and ensure an environment of quality, continuous improvement and compliance with funding and service accountability requirements.
This multifaceted role is vital to the effective delivery of women's services in our organisation and is instrumental in establishing strong partnerships, delivery of services and practices that deliver positive outcomes for service users and the broader community, in line with our strategic plan and feminist philosophy.
A key part of this role is to continue to provide strong collaborative partnership programs to families who experience domestic, family, and sexual violence. The Centre for Women & Co. provides direct service delivery in a space that is non-discriminatory, accessible and affordable. You will work collaboratively with team members and other agencies and organisations to develop appropriate and innovative programs within the community.
The role is responsible for developing, implementing and managing all aspects of the delivery of collaborative services across a number of funded program areas:
- programs for women and children experiencing domestic and family violence; and
- programs for community members who have experienced sexual violence.
Key Responsibilities
- Implementation and management of collaborative partnerships services and programs, including delegation of the day-to-day management of services to the team.
- Provide management, recruitment oversight, support and mentoring to the team to effectively undertake their roles, including regular supervision of team member directly and annual performance reviews, diminished performance reviews if necessary and planning.
- Supporting and developing the strategic and organisational planning as well as the implementation of strategic planning within your team.
- Actively participate in the development, implementation and ongoing review of appropriate and effective service models, practice frameworks, policies and procedures specifically relating to the delivery of services within The Centre for Women & Co.
- Adhere to and contribute to a safe workplace for all team, management committee members, service users and visitors as per Workplace Health and Safety Policy, with line of sight and responsibility within your team’s site.
- Actively and effectively participate as a member of the team to achieve and maintain an effective, efficient and accountable organisation that reflects the philosophy of The Centre for Women & Co.
- Network and work collaboratively with other services development, delivery, evaluation and expansion of program areas.
Maintaining the organisation’s positive profile in the community by achieving quality outcomes through practice excellence. - Monitor trends in the sector, government, external organisations and within the program to inform future planning.
- Actively pursue funding and other opportunities that will further the strategic growth of the organisation in consultation with the CEO and COO.
- Identify emerging risks in the organisation, develop, and implement recommendations to mitigate potential impacts on the achievement of The Centre for Women & Co. Objectives.
Salary and Benefits
- SCHADS Level 8.1 ($63.18p/h) | Full-Time (38 Hours Per Week) | $124843.68 annually
- Permanent position with recurrent funding

- Salary Packaging up to $15,900 (superannuation can be paid in addition to this, subject to any ATO limit if any).

Experience and Qualifications
This role requires tertiary qualifications in Behavioural, Social Science, counselling, social work, or in the areas of human services management received from a recognised university.
This role also requires minimum 3 years extensive experience in managing and or leading a multidisciplinary team, together with domestic and family violence and women’s health aspects.
Potential Start Dates
This role is available to start on April 7th.
We have set start dates for new team members so that they can undertake our supportive induction process with our Practice and Development Lead and Risk & Culture Officer. This process allows new team members to have set time to learn more about our organisation, our practice frameworks and set up all equipment and logins.
