DOT Express is currently seeking a Fleet Supervisor to join our successful team to be responsible for Driver Employment/Staffing Levels, Vehicle Tracking, Driver Weekly Wages, Customer Billing Assistance and Other Operations Responsibilities as required.
Key Responsibilities:
Driver productivity and efficiency: Your task is to manage the key service and cost drivers within in our Company control, namely our Drivers and Vehicles. This includes but is not limited to:
Driver Employment/Staffing Levels:
- manage Driver work hours, morale and motivation
- educate Drivers through tool box meetings, individual reviews and daily communication
- minimise Driver hours and fatigue
Vehicle Tracking:
Learn and understand the features and benefits of the Teletrac Navman vehicle tracking system and Routific routing software utilising them to our advantage. Update the system to comply with our Chain of Responsibility and focus on Driver safety.
Driver Weekly Wages:
- ensure weekly Driver timesheets are accurate and are submitted on time
- ensure all Driver expenses meet company standards and approve Driver expenses
- Use Driver timesheets as a KPI to Driver performance, efficiency and cost control
Customer Billing Assistance:
Input Driver times into our Freight Management system for the preceding day for contracted runs
Other Responsibilities:
- OH&S: part of Your job function is to manage and control the Occupational Health and Safety of all people on our site as well as Drivers on the road.
- Equipment: You will be responsible for justifying the need to purchase equipment e.g. vehicles, depot equipment and the like, plus the upkeep of the equipment in safe working order.
- Customer daily collections: use and monitor our Freight Management System daily and determine the most cost-efficient way to effect collections prior to Customer close times
- Customer/Linehaulier Rapport and Daily Communication: You will need to meet with Customers/Linehauliers and their Operations teams and commence a process of open dialogue and communication
- Customer ‘Specials’: work with Sales and understand the various service offerings to customers as we strive to achieve 100% DIFOT
- Book-Ins: ensure timeslots for Customer deliveries to DC’s are not missed
- Warehouse: arrange load and unload assistance to Drivers as required
In return, we offer an annual salary $70-80K range + Superannuation with a view for the role to grow dependent upon further business growth and candidate skillset.
