With a fully equipped manufacturing facility, we design, build, and install kitchens, wardrobes, vanities, office fit outs, and bespoke cabinetry tailored to our clients' needs.

We are currently seeking a skilled Cabinet Maker to join our team. The role will primarily involve installing cabinetry in kitchens, bathrooms, and commercial spaces, ensuring precise fitting and a high-quality finish. The ideal candidate will have experience in on-site installation, adjusting joinery to fit site conditions, and working with various materials and hardware. In addition to installation, you will also be involved in manufacturing cabinetry in our workshop, ensuring quality craftsmanship from production to installation.

Employment Type: Full-Time

Salary: $80,000 - $90,000 per annum

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Examining and interpreting detailed drawings, work orders, and sample parts to determine material requirements and assembly procedures.
  • Selecting and working with a variety of materials, including timber, veneers, MDF, particle board, and laminates, ensuring quality and suitability for each project.
  • Operating woodworking machinery, hand tools, and power tools to cut, shape, and assemble components with precision.
  • Using CNC machines for accurate cutting, routing, and shaping of joinery components.
  • Constructing and assembling kitchen cabinets, vanities, wardrobes, and other built-in or freestanding furniture according to project requirements.
  • Installing custom cabinetry and joinery in various settings, including kitchens, bathrooms, wardrobes, reception areas, offices, wall units, and bookcases.
  • Fitting and installing hardware such as hinges, locks, catches, drawers, and shelves.
  • Applying varnishes to finished products to enhance durability and appearance.
  • Conducting thorough inspections of completed items to ensure they meet design specifications and quality standards.
  • Making necessary adjustments or repairs to achieve the desired finish and functionality.
  • Working closely with clients to understand their specific requirements and preferences.
  • Providing expert advice on material choices, design feasibility, and maintenance of installed products.
  • Visiting client sites to take precise measurements and assess spatial constraints, ensuring installations are tailored to the specific environment.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols and guidelines.
  • Regularly inspecting and maintaining tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.

Requirements:

  • At least 3-5 years of experience in a similar cabinet-making role.
  • Certificate III in Cabinet Making or an equivalent qualification.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, design plans, and work orders.
  • Experience in the manufacturing, assembly, and installation of kitchens, wardrobes, vanities, and custom joinery.
  • Ability to operate woodworking machinery, hand tools, power tools, and CNC machines for precision cutting and shaping.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce high-quality workmanship.
  • Understanding of workplace safety procedures and ability to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
