About the role

Timberfy is a leading manufacturer of custom-made furniture and cabinetry. We are seeking a skilled Cabinet Maker / Furniture Maker to join our team in our state-of-the-art workshop in Sunshine West, VIC. This is a full-time role where you will be responsible for crafting high-quality, bespoke furniture and cabinetry to the highest standard.

What you'll be doing

• Working with a range of solid hardwood timbers and veneers - cabinets, dining tables, chairs etc.
• Hand applying timber veneers to curved substrates
• Interpreting design plans and schematics to create custom furniture and cabinetry pieces
• Operating a range of woodworking machinery and tools to shape, join, and finish timber components
• Ensuring all work meets quality and safety standards
• Collaborating with the design team to refine and improve product designs
• Maintaining a clean and organised workspace
• Providing guidance and mentoring to more junior members of the production team

What we're looking for

• Formal qualification in Cabinet Making or a related Trades field
• Minimum 3 years' experience as a Cabinet Maker or Furniture Maker, preferably in a commercial manufacturing environment
• Proficient in the use of woodworking machinery and hand tools
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
