This role is specific to construction and commercial law.

ABOUT THE ROLE
Dive into the world of construction and commerical law! We're on the lookout for a passionate law specialist with at least 3-4 years post-admission experience to join our team!

As our newest construction and commercial law solicitor, you'll be at the forefront of the action, tackling a wide range of exciting legal matters in this flexible role.

With flexible working arrangements possible, you could work in an office or from the comfort of your own home (upon successful completion of training)! This role gives you lots of flexibility to manage your own schedule while still delivering exceptional results with the support of our dedicated team of lawyers and Paralegals.

The Solicitor will be practicing predominantly in commercial litigation with a specific focus on construction disputes in NSW. The Solicitor will have opportunities to practice law in multiple Australian jurisdictions and regular exposure to disputes in forums ranging from security of payment adjudications, tribunal and Local, District and Supreme Court proceedings.

The Solicitor will be required to advise on some transactional construction law matters, including advising on construction contracts and drafting. The Solicitor will also have plenty of opportunities to practice in other areas of law and also supervisie junior legal staff, including 3x part time paralegals.

ABOUT THE CANDIDATE
To thrive in this role, we're looking for a legal professional with a proven track record in construction and/or commercial law. If you're someone who exudes confidence, initiative, and integrity, then you're exactly who we're searching for.

With your stellar communication skills and meticulous attention to detail, you're adept at navigating even the most complex legal matters with finesse.

CRITERIA

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in law
  • Interest and commitment to the success of the firm
  • Excellent communication, both written and verbal
  • A self-starter, able to demonstrate high levels of initiative and motivation, but also work closely with other team members and displaying trust and loyalty
  • Ability to manage assigned tasks in an assertive, efficient and timely manner
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, demonstrating professionalism in all dealings
  • Able to deal sympathetically and appropriately with clients and to show empathy with them
  • Good leadership skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Must be able to multitask and keep calm under pressure
  • The flexibility to work outside normal office hours as required from time-to-time
