Your new Company
Established in 1986 this Islamic College has a trio of campuses with approximately 2,600 students enrolled. Your new role
Based in Melbourne’s West, you will be working 8.30am – 4.30pm Monday to Friday reporting into the Facility Manager. Your new role will see you responsible for overseeing the management of 8 trades staff, essential services, building projects as well as maintenance of the facility, grounds, and other duties deemed suitable for campus maintenance.
Your structured maintenance duties will see you:
- Assign, monitor & document maintenance activities;
- Financial forecasting; obtaining and evaluating quotations for quality and cost effectiveness;
- Provide leadership in maintenance and oversee a small team;
- Ensuring daily, weekly, monthly and yearly schedules are in place;
- Develop preventative maintenance schedules for buildings, equipment, and infrastructure; and
- Comply with legislation for building works, and strong OH&S awareness.
What you need to succeed
- Essential to have a minimum of 5 years experience working in a facility maintenance role (ideally) within a school environment;
- Certificate III in OH&S will be highly regarded;
- Strong people management experience;
- Trade background will be viewed as highly advantageous;
- Reside in Melbourne’s West, with flexibility to work on Saturdays, and a strong commitment to driving results;
- Strong financial management and budgeting skills;
- Ability to liaise with contractors, service providers, and regulatory bodies; and
- Hold a current and valid - drivers licence, & Working with Children’s Check (WWC).
