THE ORGANISATION
University Theatres manages the live performance spaces of the University of Western Australia. We welcome a range of clients:
- External professional producers of dance, theatre, comedy, spoken word including Perth Festival, the West Australian Symphony Orchestra, Barking Gecko Theatre Company, Musica Viva and the Australian Chamber Orchestra
- University clients
- Community groups and schools
University Theatres manages six diverse and unique venues:
- The Octagon Theatre, seating 758 & Bradley Studio
- Winthrop Hall, seating 974 & Undercroft
- The Dolphin Theatre, seating 214
- The Somerville Auditorium, seating 930
- The New Fortune Theatre, seating 332
- The Sunken Garden
- Plus a range of open spaces and teaching facilities
THE JOB
Reporting to the Bookings Manager, the Bookings Coordinator is involved in all administration and day-to-day operations of the Bookings Department.
- Full time role (38 hours per week).
- Act as first point of contact for enquiries.
- Scheduling activities and maintaining the event management system.
- Liaison with other University Theatres departments to ensure smooth operations.
- Obtain information from clients and assist in compiling material for event day staff.
- Contracting, billing and liaising with our many and diverse clients.

THE CANDIDATE
This position will suit applicants with experience in across theatre, dance and event administration and coordination, with an ability to work accurately and efficiently to meet deadlines and deliver great customer service to our clients.
The successful applicant will have:
- Experience coordinating cultural events, especially the performing arts
- Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills, including the ability to build a rapport with clients
- Computer literacy including Microsoft Office
- Organisational skills and demonstrated ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to show initiative and work productively as part of a small team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Impeccable attention to detail
