MPI has been engaged by one of our key owner/operator clients to provide an Underground Shift Supervisor for a gold mine based in the Goldfields region of WA.

The position is offered as a six month contract only and the roster is 8/6-7/7 FIFO from Perth. Pay rate is $1200 per shift however negotiable depending on experience and skillset.

To be considered you must have the following:

• Previous supervisory experience preferably within a gold mining environment
• Demonstrated planning and forecasting knowledge
• West Australian Underground Supervisors Certificate or Competency
• Experience in using Microsoft Office and mining software including SAP and INX
• Valid Australian unrestricted Driver's Licence
• Current Dangerous Goods, Working at Heights and Confined Spaces Card
• National Police Clearance within 6 months
• Have the ability to pass a pre employment medical.

Duties involved but not limited to:

• Be responsible for providing effective and strong leadership for the development of the crew
• Support and mentor the progress of assigned tasks and address any issues
• Understand and prioritise improvement opportunities and formulate alternatives to systems and methods
• Assist the Underground Manager with the implementation of change management initiatives and other projects
• Liaise with the Coordinator regarding operating parameters and technical issues in relation to the mining operations and communicate with relevant operators
• Collaborate with the crew to connect and set clearly defined accountabilities, roles, and development plans
• Assist with planning of projects, and supervision of Business Partners.
