Human Resource Manager
We are recruiting for the new position of Human Resource Manager for our client. Reporting to the Chief Executive this full time position needs someone with an eye for detail.
About Our Client
Our client is a busy aged care facility in inner western suburbs of Sydney with a strong reputation for providing quality day to day care and support to its clients and residents. Currently the business is undergoing a growth requiring recruitment and training support.
As a provider of high level care our client has a need for strong regulatory compliance and this position will provide support to the management team and staff on HR and legislative requirements to ensure administrative compliance.

About the Role
This position is full time working from the site and provides services across a busy facility.
Responsibilities
The activities you will undertake in a typical day include:
- Manage the HR functions whist leading a small team.
- Reporting to the CEO as required.
- Recruitment is a key focus with onboarding and compliance requirements.
- Ensure that highly functional systems are in place to maintain accurate HR documentation and Employee records.
- Ensure processes are in place to facilitate the Employee end to end life cycle with respect to recruitment, induction, orientation, performance reviews, statutory responsibilities (ie National Police Checks), including employee documentation and termination.
- Work with Chief Executive and external strategic HR support partners to lead in the implementation of strategic workforce initiatives and projects.
- Ensure effective communication systems are in place to facilitate the involvement of all staff in the reviewing and improving work practices.
- Ensure an employee key event calendar is maintained to ensure all employee follow-up responsibilities and issues are scheduled and addressed as required.
- Update and implement HR policies and procedures and provide necessary tools and documents to support managers in their management of their teams.
- Maintain and report on a range of HR metrics to inform the CEO in accordance with organisational and legislative requirements.
About you
To be considered for the role you will need a minimum five years HR experience including leadership and organisational change.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE AND COMPETENCIES
- Commitment to the Mission & Values of our client.
- Highly organised with a high level of attention to detail with the ability to plan, multi task and prioritise conflicting priorities.
- Demonstrated ability to provide quality generalist HR advice and a high standard of service to a range of organisational stakeholders by evaluating needs and dealing appropriately with confidential and sensitive matters.
- Knowledge and experience in the application of contemporary HR Policies and Procedures and Employment Legislation in a similar role for a minimum of 5 years.
- Strong leadership experience with project management focus.
- Effective interpersonal, communication, office skills with a “hands-on” approach to work.
- Strong IT skills, including the ability to use Microsoft Office products and Human Resources Information systems.
- Previous experience in managing injured workers and return to work processes.
Desirable Experience
- Experience in either Aged Care or Community Services.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience in reporting to a CEO.
