Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic HR Manager to lead our human resources function. This role is pivotal in ensuring compliance with Australian employment laws while fostering a positive and engaging workplace culture. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on HR professional with strong expertise in employee relations, compliance, recruitment, payroll, and HR administration. Balancing both strategic initiatives and day-to-day HR operations, this role is suited for an adaptable and proactive leader.
Key Responsibilities
1. HR Advisory & Employee Relations
- Provide expert guidance to employees and managers on HR policies, procedures, and workplace matters.
- Support and implement employee engagement initiatives to enhance workplace culture.
- Manage and resolve employee relations issues in compliance with Fair Work legislation and best practices.
2. Recruitment & Onboarding
- Oversee the full recruitment cycle, including job postings, interviews, selection, and onboarding.
- Partner with labour hire agencies to source contractors and temporary staff as required.
- Ensure smooth onboarding experiences for new hires, including policy training and integration.
3. Payroll & HR Administration
- Payroll, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely execution.
- Maintain and manage HR records, including employment contracts, leave balances, and payroll data.
- Ensure adherence to all statutory reporting requirements.
4. Compliance & Policy Management
- Develop, review, and update HR policies and procedures to align with Australian employment legislation.
- Ensure company-wide compliance with the Fair Work Act, National Employment Standards (NES), and Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) regulations.
Key Skills & Requirements
- 5–10 years of experience in an HR role, with demonstrated leadership capabilities.
- Experienced in HR within logistics Industry
- In-depth knowledge of Australian employment laws, including the Fair Work Act, NES, and WHS regulations.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage at all levels.
- Excellent problem-solving and organisational skills, with keen attention to detail.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities effectively.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or a related field.
