Ohana For Youth is a growing, respected and innovative charity based in Southeast Queensland that provides secondary education and support programs to young people.
Our colleges are Co-Ed Independant Special Assistance schools for young people who have disengaged from mainstream schooling. Our stunning, purpose built facilities are located at Robina on the Gold Coast and Meadowbrook in Logan.

We are looking for a qualified and passionate Finance and Accounts officer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting core finance functions—such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reconciliations—while also assisting with HR filing and general administration.
This is a full time, permanent position. The hours required will be Monday - Friday, 8am to 4pm.
Key Responsibilities
- Accounts Payable & Receivable:
Process invoices, payments, and follow up on outstanding balances - Purchasing Support:
Generate purchase orders and coordinate with suppliers - HR Filing & Admin:
Maintain accurate HR records and assist with filing - Credit Card & Bank Reconciliations:
Reconcile statements regularly and resolve discrepancies - General Finance Tasks:
Assist with BAS processing, payroll support, superannuation, and asset register maintenance.
Key Selection Criteria
- Certificate/Diploma in Finance (or equivalent experience)
- Experience with accounting software (e.g., MYOB, TASS)
- Current Working with Children Blue Card (Paid)
- Proven track record in accounts payable/receivable and reconciliations
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
