About Role:

We are seeking an experienced Lead Database Engineer with deep expertise in SQL Server/ SSIS to join our banking client. The ideal candidate will lead the design, development, and optimization of our databases while managing ETL processes and contributing to data warehousing efforts. This role requires strong technical skills, as well as a passion for ensuring data integrity, performance, and scalability in a fast-paced environment.

Role Responsibilities:

• Lead the development and implementation of robust ETL processes using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) to efficiently acquire, transform, and integrate data from multiple sources.
• Design, develop, and maintain SQL Server databases.
• Optimise and fine-tune SSIS packages to ensure high performance, scalability, and reliability in data operations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex database and ETL-related issues in both development and production environments.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of developers.

Technical prerequisite for the role:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in SQL Server database development
• Extensive experience in designing and implementing ETL processes, particularly using SSIS is a must.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL SSIS.
• Deep understanding of data modelling principles
• Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor technical teams
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
