A major professional services company is currently recruiting multiple experienced data engineers to work on a significant, multi - year program of work within a major Australian organisations

All contracts are 12 months with strong chance of extension, and rates range between $60 - $95/hour inc super, depending on experience

Responsibilities vary across roles and projects, covering a broad range of data engineering tasks.

Required experience range from role to role, including:

Mandatory:

• Atleast 2+ years experience as a Data Engineer
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Basic knowledge of Excel for data analysis and reporting
• Ability to gather and analyze business requirements effectively

Beneficial:

• Strong expertise in Azure services and cloud infrastructure
• Proficiency in PySpark, SQL, and Python for data processing and analysis
• Experience with Hive for data storage and processing
• Proficiency in Power BI for data visualization and reporting
• Experience with data warehousing solutions such as Databricks and Synapse
• Strong understanding of Azure Functions and their applications
• Proficiency in Java for data engineering tasks
• Experience with AWS services and infrastructure
• Strong understanding of solution design and API development
• Strong proficiency in SQL, MySQL, and Python
• Experience with PySpark, HDFS, and Hive
• Familiarity with AWS services including Redshift, S3, Athena, and CloudWatch
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Experience with ML and ML models on Azure
• Experience with Text Analytics
• Experience with AWS SageMaker
• Experience with Terraform & Python
