Job Overview

The Charter Operations Manager at Ahoy Club plays a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless execution of yacht charter operations. This position requires a strategic and detail-oriented professional with a strong background in maritime operations, client management, and logistics. The Charter Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing the end to-end process of charter operations, from client interaction to yacht delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

Crew Coordination:

• Manage the recruitment and onboarding of temporary crew members for specific charter periods.

• Coordinate crew schedules, ensuring appropriate staffing levels for each charter.

• Collaborate with Charter Manager, Finance Team, and Fleet Manager to address crew-related matters, including onboarding, contracts, training, and performance evaluations.

• Collaborate with finance to ensure all temporary crew timesheets are complete, to ensure prompt payment.

Financial Management:

• Work closely with the Finance team to ensure accurate billing and financial transactions related to charters.

• Monitor budgetary considerations and implement cost-effective solutions.

• Assist with monthly charter reporting.

Client expectation Management:

• Work alongside the Charter Manager to ensure all guest preferences are met, as per the booking Runsheet.

Yacht Fleet Management:

• Collaborate with captains and crews to ensure vessels are well-maintained and ready for charter.

• Oversee yacht crew availability, scheduling, and logistics to optimise fleet utilisation.

Inventories:

• Maintaining and ordering charter inventories

Problem Resolution:

• Address and resolve issues that may arise during charter operations promptly and effectively.

• Implement corrective actions and preventive measures to enhance operational efficiency.

• Implement processes that will complement the work process.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in yacht charter operations or a similar role within the maritime industry.

• Strong knowledge of maritime regulations, safety standards, and industry best practices.

• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing situations.

• Proficiency in relevant software and tools.
