Our client is a busy and large engineering firm with Head Office in Bibra Lake and an office in the northwest. Our client provides a range of services and products into mining, construction, transport, water and other heavy industries. A responsible and challenging role has become available for an experienced and well qualified Senior Bookkeeper with strong Administration and some Management skills.
Work as part of a busy office team of about 10 people. Experience with Xero, MS Excel and Job Costing software is essential as is similar experience in a relevant sector. This is a hands-on, busy role where working to deadlines and under pressure at times is a requirement. You will need to be highly organised and have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Our client offers a generous salary between $90 – 120,000 plus super, plus professional development and career advancement in a growing company and the chance to work in a dynamic and collaborative environment with a focus on innovation and creativity. Parking is provided and working hours are approximately 8am – 4pm (with some flexibility).
Responsibilities will include:
- Maintain Accurate Records: Manage accounts payable and receivable and oversight of 2 accounts/admin personnel, reconcile bank statements, and ensure timely and accurate recording of financial transactions
- Budget Monitoring: Assist in the creation of budgets, providing regular updates and insights to support financial decision-making.
- Financial Reporting: Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports while managing financial KPI’s and trends
- Be informed of changes in accounting standards to ensure compliance and best practices.
- Monitor Job/Project Costings, Cashflow Forecasting and margins while working with multiple entities.
- HR (including Contracts) and Payroll Processing
- Payroll Tax and FBT preparation
- Liaise with external accountants, clients, insurers and legal as required
