About the Company

Our client is an internationally recognized civil construction contractor that undertakes large-scale and complex civil and ground engineering projects worldwide. They have a distinguished list of blue-chip clients across mining, energy, water, marine, and civil infrastructure sectors having worked on many of Australia’s largest projects. They now have an immediate requirement for a Senior Contract Administrator to join their company in Perth, with a focus on major civil infrastructure projects.

About the Role

As the Senior Contract Administrator based in Perth you will be a key member of the senior management team responsible for planning, delivering and managing key projects for large private and public-sector clients. You will be responsible for managing contracts and guiding commercial teams and support staff, preparing sub-contractor and supplier agreements, identifying and mitigating risk in new tenders and projects, forecasting & reporting on concurrent projects, and overseeing claims, disputes and contractual correspondence. As Senior Contract Administrator your involvement may extend across multiple projects and will involve regular interaction with project teams and senior management. This company has forecast a strong lift in revenue in the next few years so this is a great time to get on board and ride this exciting period of growth. This role will suit a proven track Contract Administrator or Senior Contract Administrator who has around 5-10 years’ experience within medium to large civil contracting organisations, and/or during delivery of major civil projects preferably in Australia. Whilst not essential, applications from Senior Contract Administrators with strong legal background and qualifications, will be highly regarded. A superb remuneration package will be on offer CIRCA $150-180K Base + Super (*based on experience), for this brilliant permanent position.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience Requirements

• Tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Law, Quantity Surveying or similar
• 5-10 years’ experience in Contract Administrator or Senior Contract Administrator roles working for civil contractors in Australian
• Exposure to a variety of civil sectors having been involved in projects in resources/civil/industrial/defence valued $50m+
• Proven experience as CA/Senior CA in contract review, negotiation & management across all styles of contracts (“Hard dollar”, D&C, Cost Reimbursable, Schedule of Rates, Alliance)
• Excellent commercial acumen managing costs, budgets and financial aspects of major projects
• Ability to identify risk in contracts and develop risk mitigation techniques during delivery
• Proven success managing and negotiating progress claims and strong dispute resolution expertise
• Excellent all-round communication skills to liaise with multiple internal and external stakeholders Lead and mentor junior staff and impart commercial knowledge to company’s Project Managers and teams
• Currently Perth/WA based with existing Australian work rights
