About the role
Are you passionate about indoor plants and helping customers find the perfect greenery for their homes? We're looking for an enthusiastic Indoor Plant Sales Assistant to join our team at Melbourne Indoor Plants' in Oakleigh, South Melb & Ringwood. This is a casual role that will involve providing excellent customer service, assisting with plant care and maintenance, and helping our customers select the best indoor plants for their needs.

What you'll be doing

• Providing friendly and knowledgeable assistance to customers, answering questions about plant care and helping them choose the right indoor plants for their space
• Maintaining the display of indoor plants, ensuring they are healthy, hydrated and presented in an appealing way
• Caring for the plants - including watering, pruning and monitoring for pests or diseases
• Restocking and tidying the retail space to keep it looking neat and inviting
• Providing advice and information to customers on how to care for their new plants
• Assisting with any other tasks as required to support the smooth running of the store

What we're looking for

• A passion for indoor plants and a genuine interest in helping customers find the perfect plants for their homes
• Previous experience in a customer service or retail role, (advantage if in a nursery or plant-based environment)
• Knowledge of indoor plants or passion to learn and the ability to provide expert advice to customers
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with customers and provide outstanding service
• A keen eye for detail and the ability to maintain a well-presented and organised retail space
• A positive, friendly and energetic attitude to contribute to a fun and collaborative team environment
