About the Opportunity
Alchemy Recruitment Consulting is proud to be partnering with a local government owned organisation based in the Brisbane CBD to recruit a Compliance Lead for a critical project.
It is critical for the successful applicant to have previous experience within the resources, heavy industries or energy sector, working at an enterprise level for compliance.
Your next role:
The Compliance Lead will be responsible for the execution of the compliance management uplift program across the business.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Lead the execution of compliance management uplift program of works to meet desired compliance management maturity level.
- Lead the establishment of the businesses regulatory compliance obligations register and develop the systems and processes for the systematic identification and analysis of new or changing compliance obligations
- Establish and implement a central compliance operating model and lead, mentor, and coordinate business unit compliance specialists
- Design, establish and implement the central compliance and business unit assurance programs
- Review and revise existing compliance breach reporting framework
- Design, establish and implement an organisational compliance training program
- Establish and implement central compliance monitoring systems, analytics, and dashboards.
- Monitor, interpret, and disseminate the internal compliance environment to proactively identify factors that could impact our client’s compliance profile.
- Manage the coordination, preparation, and execution of periodic compliance reporting
- Assist in the development and management of compliance appetite statements
- Provide compliance advisory to senior leadership and the executive to ensure that strategic business initiatives, investments, and operational changes are appropriately considered and within compliance risk appetite.
- Lead the execution of all compliance management activities
- Act as the primary liaison for compliance-related matters with internal and external stakeholders
- Promote a compliance-aware culture
About you:
- Heavy Industries, Resources or Energy Sector experience is non-negotiable
- Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Business or Law
- Post graduate qualification in Compliance, Governance or Risk Management
- Strong knowledge of compliance and risk principles and best practices.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Resilient and able to lead in a dynamic environment.
