About the role

OCAB Bakery Yarraville currently has a vacancy for an experienced Baker to join our team. This full-time role is an excellent opportunity for a skilled baker to contribute to the production of high-quality baked goods and pastries.

Your duties will include but not be limited to:

• Preparing and baking a variety of breads, rolls, pastries and other baked goods using established recipes and techniques
• Ensuring all baked products meet quality and presentation standards
• Maintaining a clean and organised work area throughout the baking process
• Assisting in the stocking and rotation of ingredients and supplies
• Collaborating with the team to identify and implement process improvements
• Adhering to all food safety and hygiene regulations

About You

Along with your strong work ethic and previous experience in a similar role as a Baker or Pastry Chef, you'll have/be:

• Strong understanding of baking techniques, ingredient properties and food safety standards
• Ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure, be reliable and have great attention to detail
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Able to bake a range of pastries and bread (croissant, scrolls and sourdough)
• Available for the Night Shift: 10pm - 6am - Monday to Sunday
• Passion for creating high-quality baked goods
• Full Australian working rights or be a permanent resident
• Have at least two years of commercial baking experience.
