About the role

Join our thriving bakery team as a Qualified Baker at The Bread Spot, located in Langwarrin, VIC. This full-time role is responsible for overseeing some of our daily operations of our popular local bakery, ensuring consistent high-quality products and exceptional customer service.

What you'll be doing

• Help lead a team of skilled bakers and apprentices
• Oversee the production of a wide range of freshly baked breads, pastries, and other baked goods
• Ensure all baking processes adhere to food safety and quality standards
• Monitor and maintain inventory levels of ingredients and supplies
• Develop new recipes and product ideas to expand our bakery's offerings
• Help manage our sales team and liaise with customers to address any concerns
• Possibly oversee the bakery's financial performance and identify opportunities for improvement

What we're looking for

• Expert knowledge of baking techniques, recipes, and equipment
• Excellent leadership and people management skills
• Trade qualifications
• Management experience a bonus but not necessary
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Proficient in inventory management and cost control
• A passion for creating high-quality baked goods and providing exceptional customer service
