As a Principal Policy Officer within the Work and Electrical Safety Policy (WESP) branch, you'll have the opportunity to influence strategic policy decisions, lead impactful legislative projects, and provide expert policy advice that supports Queensland's safety initiatives. In this role, you will:
• Lead Strategic Policy Development - Research, analyse, and develop high-level policy recommendations to drive government priorities on work health and electrical safety.
• Create Impactful Deliverables - Develop major policy papers, submissions, and Cabinet submissions for the Minister and Senior Executives.
• Collaborate Across Government - Work with agencies and key stakeholders at state and national levels, building relationships to solve complex safety issues.
• Influence Key Decisions - Represent the branch at intergovernmental meetings, providing insightful contributions to shaping public safety policies.
As a Principal Policy Officer, you will lead cross-branch projects and manage multidisciplinary teams to resolve important policy challenges while contributing to a positive and professional team culture.
