The Position
In this dynamic role, you'll provide top-tier executive support to the senior leadership team, helping to achieve the overarching goals and priorities of the organization. You’ll be instrumental in developing and maintaining a smooth and efficient office environment, fostering strong relationships with staff, stakeholders, and external partners. Your proactive approach will be key, anticipating needs, coordinating high-level meetings, managing documentation, and organizing official visits with ease and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Provide high-level executive support through a range of administrative, coordination, and scheduling tasks.
  2. Manage branch performance reporting, including preparing executive meeting papers and board agenda documents.
  3. Coordinate ministerial briefings and correspondence, ensuring compliance with guidelines, and maintaining quality control over all communication.
  4. Facilitate effective communication and collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders, representing leadership in all matters.
  5. Contribute to the development, evaluation, and improvement of business administration systems and support staff in understanding relevant policies and procedures.

Desirable Qualifications/Experience

  • At least five years of experience in public sector administration or a related field.
  • Applicants must hold Australian Citizenship and current National Police Clearance

This is a short term role across 2 seperate periods -

  1. First period: 22 April 2025 – Friday 16 May 2025
  2. Second period: 30 June 2025 - 29 October 2025

The assignment will require fulltime hours based in Townsville. Hourly rate of $43 + super applies.
