The Role

The role will be primarily focused on driving the new business development process, with an emphasis on new business acquisitions, driving growth, and staying on top of market trends and customer requirements.

This role will involve traveling around Sydney every day to visit clients and customers. If needed, the office is located in Wetherill Park

Responsibilities:

  • Create and implement business development plans across sectors including Healthcare, Hospitality, Food Service, and Retail.
  • Focus on sales growth and achieving targets by researching new accounts and planning acquisitions, leveraging sector knowledge and market intelligence.
  • Establish and maintain rapport with key customers and groups in the distribution markets.
  • Regularly assess customer needs and the effectiveness of the business to meet objectives and growth targets.
  • Support marketing and new product programs, ensuring compliance with pricing margin guidelines.
  • Build relationships with decision-makers to advance business interests.
  • Lead the creation and management of tender presentations and required documentation.
  • Oversee the implementation of customer training and education programs.
  • Provide monthly updates on KPIs, future plans, and performance metrics.
  • Manage internal stakeholder relationships and help deliver the sector strategy through matrix reporting.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Application Specialists to develop tailored customer value propositions.

The Candidate:

  • Business development experience in Healthcare, Hospitality, Food Service, and Retail sectors.
  • Proven skills in presenting and selling service packages to clients.
  • Excellent business acumen and a drive to achieve targets.
  • A track record of winning large corporate accounts.
  • Expertise in building and nurturing long-term customer relationships.
  • High-level decision-making, strategic planning, and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a large, matrix-structured organization.
  • A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
