Salary: 74k-78k per annum plus super

DMCS is looking for a detail-oriented professional with a passion for numbers! Join our team as a full time Accountant (General) and work within a respectful and committed organisation.
This role requires a focused and astute individual to provide compliance based accounting and to help ensure the financial health and efficiency of our company.
You will be responsible for:
- The general provision of accounting services to the Dream Maker
- Preparation of periodical financial documentation including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, internal management reports, cashflow statements along with reconciliation statements for reporting
- The provision of accounting advice to the CEO and administration team to ensure accurate and compliant documentation of all financial transactions are maintained
- Advising CEO and Directors on financial and taxation implications of business plans and operational strategies
- Ensuring that cash flows are timely and optimized and the budgets are appropriately prepared and met
- Ensuring that all relevant periodical accounting reports reflect the Dream Makers’ financial operations and status to ensure the company’s operational goals are feasibly met and carried on
- Scrutinizing and optimizing operating costs and company's income and expenditure
- Prepare the business activity statements, financial reports and tax returns for the company
- Ensuring that financial reports provide accurate, reliable and compliant data as required by statutory guidelines
- Follow NDIS financial management regulations and requirements - Stay updated on relevant standards and contribute to audits
- Uphold the company’s code of ethics and work as a team member
Skills and Attributes we are looking for
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial management practices
- Have a minimum bachelor’s degree qualification in accounting, finance or similar.
- 3 years of relevant experience
- Familiarity with NDIS funding and financial management practices (desirable)
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills (Word, Outlook and Excel)
- Experience with XERO accounting system
- Logical thinker
- Good organizational and liaison skills
- Excellent communication skills with people on all levels
- Ability to work as part of a team with a strong spirit of cooperation
- To be able to be reliable, flexible and fair in all circumstances
