Position: General Accountant
Hours: Full-time (38 hours/week)
Base Salary: $75,000-80,000

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or above in Finance, Accounting, or Economics
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar position
• Experience in managing Client Money with respect to the Corporations Act
• Experience in Forex, Equities and Financial derivative markets
• Experience with MetaTrader, cTrader and other trading platforms

Tasks

• Journal payments within accounting platforms.
• Identify vendor ownership and allocate expenses to relevant departments for budgeting purposes.
• Prepare monthly / quarterly tax payments to ATO.
• Monitor cash outflow consistency.
• Prepare monthly payable reports.
• Monitoring of reconciliation and overview of non-cash payments, electronic funds transfers, and debit/credit card facilities.
• Coordinate internal and external audits with a focus on risk management processes, and regulatory compliance.
• Prepare and present financial performance reports for senior management, board members, and other key stakeholders, highlighting key risks and financial outcomes.
• Implement and monitor internal controls to ensure accuracy, integrity, and security of financial data.
• Maintaining accounting systems, and advising on the selection and application of computer-based accounting systems
• Examining operating costs and organisations’ income and expenditure
