About the role:

WA Limestone is currently seeking experienced Metal Fabricator / Boilermaker to join our team on a full-time basis.

Based at our fully equipped workshop in Bibra Lake, you will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, modifying, and repairing metal structures and components. The role involves working on a variety of heavy mobile equipment, road transport components, and mobile & fixed crushing and screening plants. You will utilize a range of fabrication techniques, including cutting, welding, shaping, and assembling metal to ensure structural integrity and optimal functionality of equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Fabricate, assemble, and repair heavy metal structures, including crushing and screening equipment.
• Perform structural steel and plate work to a high standard, adhering to AS/NZS 1554.1 welding standards.
• Work on bucket, blade, and tray repairs/rebuilds.
• Operate Oxy Acetylene, stick, MIG, and Flux core welding equipment.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications to fabricate components accurately.
• Conduct modifications and custom metal fabrication based on project requirements.
• Perform on-site field repairs as required.
• Ensure compliance with workplace safety standards and company policies.

About you:

• Heavy Fabrication trade qualification – AU/NZ recognized.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in heavy/structural steel fabrication.
• Proficiency in various welding techniques including stick, MIG, and Flux core.
• Experience working on mobile crushing and screening equipment.
• Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings and fabricate components accordingly.
• Capacity to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid Driver’s Licence (HR licence preferred).
• Commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship.
• High attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Willingness to work in field conditions as required.
• Ability to mentor and train apprentices.

What we can offer you!!

- Salary will be commensurate with experience and location, with an indicative salary package of $70K -80K per annum plus overtime and penalties.

-Working hours will be 9.5 hours a day Monday to Friday; 6 hours on Saturday is as required
