Metal Fabricator (Welder) – Welland Location

IMPartners is seeking an experienced Metal Fabricator (Welder) to join a well-established business in Welland, SA. This company specialises in high-quality fabrication for fences, balustrades, louvres, skylights, and other architectural details.

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Metal Fabricator (Welder) to assist in the fabrication and assembly of custom architectural metalwork. This is a full-time position offering a salary between $70,000 - $75,000, based on experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Fabrication and welding of steel, aluminium, and stainless steel components for architectural structures
• Reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure precise fabrication
• Cutting, shaping, and assembling metal parts using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
• Performing MIG, TIG, and ARC (Stick) welding to industry standards
• Ensuring all fabricated components meet quality and safety regulations
• Operating machinery such as press brakes, guillotines, and rolling machines
• Conducting inspections to maintain accuracy, durability, and structural integrity of all fabricated products
• Working collaboratively within a team in a fast-paced workshop environment

Qualifications & Experience

• Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade (or equivalent)
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in metal fabrication and welding
• Strong understanding of Australian Standards and workplace safety requirements
• Experience working with custom architectural metalwork is highly regarded
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet project deadlines
• Relevant licences and tickets (e.g., forklift, EWP, confined spaces) are advantageous
