• $90k - $110k Package (full-time equivalent)

This boutique practice provides taxation and advisory services to a broad range of business and personal clients with a strong footprint in family businesses, investments, and individual tax planning. Inside the office you will find a close-knit and stable team of 5, under the guidance of a passionate Partner.

The firm is now seeking an experienced Accountant on a part-time basis (3 or 4 days). You will work closely with the Partner and Manager to provide compliance services , communicate with clients, and review the work of a Bookkeeper and Junior Accountant.

The Partner is looking to increase his advisory and wealth services, and is in the process of offshoring some of the more junior duties. So this role will be key to unlocking excess capacity for him to do so.

Key duties of this role include:

• Preparation of Financial Statements and Tax Returns for a variety of tax entities e.g. Sole Traders, Companies, Trusts, Superfunds and Partnerships.
• State Taxes, Indirect Taxation and BAS return lodgement for clients and their business entities, including payroll tax, land tax, superannuation taxation, annual GST, FBT and PAYG on wages.
• Compliance reports as required, namely ASIC lodgements and company secretarial duties.
• Invoicing the work prepared based on timesheet records and follow up on overdue payments

The ideal candidate will possess:

• CA/CPA qualification
• 3 + years experience in public practice
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Familiarity with Xero and MYOB software
• Experience with SMSF and BGL software would be highly advantageous
