About the Role

If you're an experienced social worker, psychologist, or professional in a related field, and you’re ready to explore a rewarding new path in Positive Behaviour Support, this is the role for you. Located in Mount Gambier, you’ll have the opportunity to work within a dedicated highly experienced clinical team, refine your skills in PBS, and contribute to meaningful change in the lives of people with complex needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, develop, and deliver tailored interventions for individuals with complex needs, including mental health challenges.
  • Work within a supportive team environment with achievable KPIs focused on real, positive outcomes for participants.
  • Design and implement evidence-based PBS Plans, positive programming, and support strategies across various home settings.
  • Conduct functional behaviour analysis and track outcomes to refine strategies.
  • Provide guidance to support providers in implementing best practice service delivery.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop least restrictive practices aligned with NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission guidelines.
  • Contribute to the development of innovative support practices, reviewing progress and evaluating results.
  • Engage consumers and gather feedback to continuously improve services.

About You

We're looking for someone with experience in supporting individuals with complex needs, particularly those with experience in supporting people in a professional capacity in area’s such as mental health, out of home care (children and youth) or forensic disability.

You’ll be collaborative, a great communicator, and dedicated to understanding each individual to ensure their supports are person-centred and tailored to their specific needs.

To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Disability & Developmental Education, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Health Science, Psychology, or a similar field.
  • Experience working with individuals with behaviour support needs.
  • A strong commitment to person-centred practice and the ability to build meaningful relationships with clients and their networks.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Current driver’s license
  • NDIS Woker Screening Clearance
  • SA Working With Children Clearance
  • Confidence using IT tools, including smart devices, Windows OS, and Microsoft Office Suite.
