Court Services Victoria provides corporate services and facilities to support the performance of the judicial, quasi-judicial and administrative functions of Victoria's courts and tribunal, Judicial College and Judicial Commission.

Collectively, Victoria's Supreme, County, Magistrates', Children's, and Coroners courts, the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT), the Judicial College of Victoria, the Judicial Commission of Victoria, and Court Services Victoria (CSV) are referred to as the ‘Courts Group'.

About the Role

Court Services Victoria (CSV) are looking for proactive and dynamic People Partners to join our People Services function. The People Partner is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HR generalist looking to step into a role where you can manage your own client portfolio. You will be joining a supportive and inclusive People Partnering team of dedicated and responsive HR professionals that value innovation and work collaboratively to share ideas and resources.

As a People Partner you will have the opportunity to deliver business-driven solutions across the entire employee lifecycle, providing expert advice to executives and managers in relation to workforce management, employee relations, culture and engagement, learning and development, health, safety and wellbeing, and workforce reporting. Reporting to a Strategic People Partner who will support your success within your designated portfolio, you will be part of a collaborative and inclusive people partnering team that readily shares their knowledge and expertise.

As a trusted partner and advisor, you will empower leaders to build a high-performing and healthy workplace culture by coaching them to set a clear direction, provide regular feedback, identify learning needs, and proactively manage employee wellbeing. Working in partnership with your colleagues across People Services, you will identify trends and provide insights to contribute to solutions and programs that meet the needs of your client portfolio.

Duties include:

  • Partnering with senior leaders to align people practices with organisational goals, providing coaching and guidance to enhance team performance and capability.
  • Building strong and productive working relationships with key stakeholders and collaborate across the CSV People Services team to deliver targeted solutions and initiatives to enable business outcomes.
  • Leading the development and implementation of performance management practices, ensuring successful adoption of performance planning policies and procedures to drive a healthy feedback culture.
  • Coaching and guiding leaders to manage complex employee relations matters such as performance improvement processes, health and wellbeing support, and resolution of grievances, ensuring alignment with CSV and VPS policies and frameworks and the VPS values.

About You

If you are an experienced HR generalist with exposure across the employee lifecycle, we want to hear from you. You will bring knowledge and expertise in one or more specialist areas across employee relations, organisational development, health and safety, or workforce planning. Demonstrated skills in building and managing relationships with key stakeholders is essential. Tertiary qualifications in human resources, psychology, business, or related fields (or working towards) is desirable.
