On behalf of our client, a commercial construction firm based in Sydney CBD. We are looking for a People and Culture Business Partner to join the business permanently.
Within this role you will provide guidance and support to managers on all people-related processes including recruitment, performance appraisals and management, talent management and the planning and implementation of employee development. This role will focus on IR matter and will be the go to person for the business. This role reports into the Group Manager of People and Culture and sits within a close-nit family like Team.
The ideal candidate will have experience as a People and Culture Partner, have experience dealing with IR matters and have experience using Workday
The HR Business Partner will partner with teams to meet the strategic people objectives of the organisation while managing and contributing to the development and implementation of a range of best practice Human Resources projects and programs.
Key Responsibility:
- Guide managers through anniversary appraisals, remuneration, succession planning, performance improvements, and role changes.
- Oversee secondments and relocations across the business.
- Manage check-ins and departures for long-term leavers, ensuring smooth communication with stakeholders.
- Supervise exit processes, ensuring offboarding is effective and exit feedback is captured for reporting.
- Advise managers on complex HR issues to minimize legal and commercial risks.
- Handle ER processes, proactively addressing risks and escalating as needed.
- Advocate for employees to enhance workplace experience.
- Maintain accurate people data in Workday for consistency and reporting.
- Assist With Recruitment needs, screening candidates and coordinating interview
- Working with the hiring managers on talent needs
- Working with the stakeholders on all IR matters
- Support the managers with onboarding, induction and development of new employees.
Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
- Experience as a P&C BP.
- Demonstrated HR consulting skills and the ability to manage multiple competing priorities to achieve strategic goals
- Technical acumen and creativity in the application of contemporary HR procedures and practices, particularly in relation to workforce planning
- Demonstrated ability to interpret legislation, regulations, awards, and industrial agreements together with policies and procedures
- Excellent written communication and time management skills
- Highly developed interpersonal skills, including the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders and to work well within a team
