About the role:
Our client is looking for a hands-on Financial Accountant to join a small team and support the efficient management of their financial operations. Work alongside senior executives within the business, this role offers a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong accounting skills to contribute to a meaningful mission while helping scale the business.

Duties:

• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings.
• Assist Financial Controller with preparation of financial statements and reports.
• Prepare and submit BAS, FBT, and GST returns; liaise with tax specialists.
• Perform financial analysis and reporting as needed to support business growth.
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable, process invoices and payments, and manage payroll.
• Assist the Finance Manager, ensuring compliance with accounting policies and regulations.

Skills & Experience

• Ideally CPA/CA qualified with a preference for candidates from a chartered accounting environment.
• Manufacturing experience would be a plus.
• Proficiency in XERO or similar accounting software looked upon favorably.
• Thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, adept at prioritizing tasks and driving initiatives independently.
