As a Business Continuity Officer, you’ll be this federal government department’s safety net—ensuring that when challenges arise, critical functions continue. You’ll oversee business continuity planning, respond to disruptions, and coordinate with whole-of-government crisis teams. This is a role where process meets problem-solving, where structure meets adaptability.

• Experience in the federal government is highly regarded.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure the department’s business continuity framework complies with government regulations and risk policies.
• Develop, implement, and maintain business continuity plans to support critical functions.
• Respond to business disruptions as they occur—assessing impact, managing communication, and implementing solutions.
• Act as a key coordination point for whole-of-government crisis management efforts.
• Engage with stakeholders across the department and at a government-wide level to strengthen business continuity preparedness.
• Drive continuous improvement, identifying weaknesses and refining strategies to enhance resilience.
